I have gone to Celinas on several occasions and different times over the course of 2012 and this year. I have been there with my fiance for a couple drinks once around 5pm, dinner and drinks once with a group at 6pm, and drinks and appetizers once at about 10pm. Drink prices are just as everywhere else in the area. Meal prices are are reasonable for what you get.
From my observation on all occasions, the service from the bartender(S) is/are good. The service of the waitstaff on the floor is very variable from real good to just plain crap. Not sure if these ladies drink while working; I personally have never smelled alcohol on their person but one lady appeared to not have any experience as waitstaff or didnt know how to get a move on to please the customers.
The owner presence is known and you can tell he wants the place to be the best in town. On all occasions, he was there and asked me if I needed anything and how my meal was etc. I would give the food a "bar food" grade of 9 on a 1-10scale. The scale Im using compares this place to any other sports bar. Ive been to many places since Im 40, and a sports fan. :-)
I have noticed the crowd that comes in Celinas around midnight is different from the typical sports fan or person out for a "couple" drinks. I've driven down the road by the place late night and the music is usually blasting, place full of amateur drinking young people/hard core party types, and lots of smokers. They have a smoking patio out front of their establishment. Again on a scale relative to other sports bars and bars in general, I would say this is fairly common after a certain time of the evening for any successful bar.
I'd say to give the place a try for a bar appetizer or even a meal. They have a menu with a good amount of variety. In that Madison Heights and Hazel Park area, the only two places to consider for sports bar food and a bar ambience, in my opinion, are JJ's and Celinas for cleaniliness factor, food, and a brighter more cheery "less depressing feel" where daylight comes into the establishment via windows. Windows..... what a bar concept. :-) -

This is an awesome neighborhood bar! They play great music, drinks are strong, and the waitstaff is very attentive. Bathrooms are always clean as well! They have cornhole out in the summer, bring a band in on the patio, and a DJ some nights to keep it fun! No complaints as my local watering hole.

Had a fun time on a Saturday night. They have a cool fire pit outside and the bartenders can make anything you ask them to, very well stocked bar. Looking forward to goin back soon!

Okay, I've come here a LOT more since my last review. Ownership has changed, management has changed, staff has changed...and, well, let's put it this way - not only am I here a lot, but I schedule our podcaster meetups here since it's right up the street from our studios, and cannot recommend this place any more than I do. Bring people here all of the time, and nobody's ever had anything but fun. :)

This place is solid! I went here with a group of guys that my late brother knew and had a few drinks.. It was late 12:30-1? It was moderately busy? We got a table, I did have to find a server but once we got her she was attentive. I guess one of the guys in our group is a man whore there so she knew him.. But I guess half the bar knew him as well..
Overall solid.. I drink double Malibu and pineapple.. Can't fuck my shit up.
I honestly don't remember the prices but it was $30 for 6 people and a round of shots.. So decent I'd say?
